DIYSums is a static website. The calculator interfaces perform their calculations in your browser, this application does not send your entered measurements to a DIYSums calculation service. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into a calculator.

Country selection uses your saved choice or the region in your browser language preferences, then defaults to the US homepage. This happens in your browser without sending a country-lookup request to an external service.

The site stores a country you choose in browser local storage so that your selection can be kept while you move between pages. Your light or dark mode choice is also kept in local storage across pages and visits; without a saved choice, the site follows your device theme. The country page you visit is remembered separately in session storage while you browse shared pages. You can clear these values through your browser’s site data or storage settings. The application has no accounts. Where offered, Save list downloads a text copy to your device; it does not store the estimate on a server.

Google Analytics is optional and loads only if you choose Allow analytics on the cookie notice. If you allow it, it sets cookies to count visits and see which pages and calculators are used. Your choice, and a marker that you have used a calculator before, are kept in local storage. Google Analytics never receives your measurements or the names of files you download. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie choices at the bottom of every page.

The website hosting provider may process technical request data under its own service and privacy terms. The hosting provider, applicable retention periods and a privacy contact must be confirmed by the site owner before this page is treated as a complete legal privacy notice.
