DIYSums aims to make practical estimating methods understandable. Tool content identifies the source for published product figures and rules, explains its formula, and gives a worked example that can be checked against the calculation.

Reference values are recorded with their units, source and date checked. When a source is unclear, a value is unverified, or local rules differ, the tool should state that limitation rather than present an unsupported figure as fact. Product examples are not universal recommendations.

Calculations are checked with tests for the documented example, ordinary inputs and important boundaries. Changes to source data or formulas should be reviewed against those examples before publication. Tool availability and local rules are limited to the country versions documented for that calculator. Site content does not claim independent professional or expert review.
